Lim Shiya (born 26 June 1986[2]) is a Singaporean association footballer currently playing for Australian W-League team Perth Glory and the Singapore National Women's Team. She made her international debut in 2003 and has featured at the SEA Games and Pre-Olympics. She is frequently selected for the Singapore squad and has competed with world cup teams such as Canada, New Zealand and China.[3]
Dominantly left-footed, Shiya began playing football at a young age and joined the women's team of Home United FC at 15 before moving on to Arion Women's Football Club in 2005. Considered one of the best football players, she is blessed with a blistering pace and has the ability to skip past defender with little effort. She darts around defenders with a change of pace and is highly technical with the ball. One of her trademark moves is dribbling full-speed on the left wing and on reaching the opponent's goal line, delivering accurate passes to her teammates. She also puts in thunderous shots and is a regular goal scorer for her club.[4][5]
